Upon arrival at any of my online pages or in person tours you will meet my furry Bovine friends!

First up is the Boss of the Pasture. Precious. Precious is currently 3 years old and pregnant with her second calf. Precious was naturally bred to a Bull in April of 2024 that was an Angus cross. She is due in January of 2025, which means she will be going "dry" in November of 2024 to prepare for the coming calf.

Precious currently gives me 1 1/2 gallons of Raw Milk Daily. I milk her by hand in the main shed area I built for milking. Milking takes roughly 30 minutes each morning. Then she is free to go do whatever she wishes in the pasture the rest of the day.

The second lady in the pasture is, Daisy Mae. Daisy Mae is a 7-month-old Jersey cross. I bought her shortly after birth from a Facebook listing in my area. She literally thinks she is a dog by the way she thinks she is entitled to follow me everywhere I go. She has a very sweet attitude that is accompanied by the Jersey nosiness. She loves to investigate everything.

Daisy was purchased to be a backup milk cow when Precious is on a break or when Precious has reached the age of retirement. I am not 100 percent sure that Daisy isn't a "free martin" or Twin to a bull calf which renders females sterile. So that mystery will be solved when she is of breeding age at 13 months. If she is found to be sterile, she will go to a loving home already picked out and live all of her days as a pet.

Last but not least we have RUFUS. Rufus is a 5 month old Red Holstein / Jersey cross Bull calf. He was purchased at one month old from a farm in my area for the purpose of being my breeder bull moving forward. Rufus has been socialized and loved just like the girls. But when Rufus turns about a year old and his testosterone begins to flow there will be a new set of socialization rules put in place in order to keep everyone safe.

Rufus currently spends his days on pasture laying in the sun and begging for apples. I cant wait to see what he does this fall when people start dropping off their pumpkins. Rufus loves to rub on everything he can find as most bulls do.
