My dad gave the home farm a new name in the early to mid 2000's. It went from " New Beginning Farm" to "Triple "J" Dairy". One day I asked him what the " JJJ" stood for and he replied with a grin.... " Kate, it stands for Jesus, Jerseys and John Deere".

At the time I was a teen and just looked at him like he was weird and said "Ok, Dad."

After hauling hay home one hot summer day we were watching Tv in the basement of the old farmhouse and I was creating a Banner / Background photo with the new name on it. When I showed it to him, he said "Nope, that isn't right." I replied, " why not?" He looked at me and said " JESUS ALWAYS COME FIRST, KATE, NO MATTER WHAT IT IS." And so, he made me switch around the word Jerseys to put Jesus first.

At the time I just continued to think he was weird and a little overzealous about his religion. But now that he's gone on to be with The Father and I'm a little older I now understand completely the lesson he was trying to teach me.

In Late 2023 I decided since I have the last Triple "J" Dairy Jersey cow I would take over the name and Facebook page and make it my own. Today I post informational videos on what's going on around the farm with the animals, gardens, what's going on in my kitchen to ride alongs to get hay and tour old barns.
